چکیده
This study was carried out to estimate genetic and phenotypic correlations of morphometric traits a newly developed Nigerian poultry breed (FUNAAB Alpha) Noiler chickens. A total 300 unsexed day-old-chicks comprising 150 each the two genotypes were raised for eighteen weeks. Superior individuals (4 cocks 20 hens per genotype) from first phase selected based on weight constitute parents 100 birds genotype in second 12 Body weight, linear body measurements (body circumference, breast girth, thigh length, shank length wing length) taken weekly basis. Growth data analysed using Generalized Linear Model SAS least significant difference (LSD) test used separate means genotypes. Computed variances covariances (PROC MIXED DATA) correlations. Results showed that chicken had higher (p<0.05) 10 18 weeks with average 2079.55 g compared 1895.29 FUNAAlpha. Positive observed among interest both FUNAAlpha latter having correlation coefficients which ranged between 0.573 (TL x SL) 0.953 (BG BC) at week 12. Sexual dimorphism favoured male all measured. The implication these results is it important know effect trait actually being its other traits. Genetic result pleiotropic effects genes multiple or chromosomal linkage affecting different It estimates degree studied are affected by same (Pleiotropic) pairs genes.

Plant breeding researches is based on genetic diversity and evaluation of genetic diversity is also one of the most important steps in introduction of new cultivars. In this study, genetic diversity of 25 grass pea genotypes was studied based on randomized complete block design with three replicates in Khorramabad (Iran). Analysis of variance showed significant differences among genotypes for m...

A total of 72124 fertility records was used to estimate the genetic and phenotypic trend of fertility traits in Iranian Holstein cow from 1981 to 2007. Fertility traits in this study were: days from calving to first service (DFS), number of insemination per conception (INS), days open (DO), interval between first and last insemination (IFL), calving interval (CI) and success to first inseminati...

Cornelian cherry is one of the most important small fruits in Arasbaran region, with wide applications in medicines and food products. In this study, the relationship among 28 quantitative and qualitative traits related to fruit, leaf, tree, and flower of 20 cornelian cherry genotypes was evaluated. Significant positive as well as negative correlations were found among some important quantitati...
